Samantha Yarbrough: LPC, NCC

Samantha graduated with her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Mississippi Christian University. Samantha is both a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Board Certified Counselor (NCC) as well as a Distance Professional Services Provider. She also has a Bachelor’s degree from Mississippi State University in Psychology and a Minor in Biology.
Samantha has experience in both individual, family, marriage/couples counseling as well as group therapy. She has worked in inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs and has gained knowledge in counseling individuals of various ages. She has counseled individuals as young as six years old, adolescents, and adults.
She is passionate about providing therapy to individuals who need an outlet to better understand themselves and improve their life circumstances. Samantha believes creating a safe and comfortable environment with the goal being for individuals to better navigate their lives with healthier coping skills and perceptions when facing stressors in life while still being confident in one’s self. She values communication in order to foster that safe therapeutic environment. Samantha also enjoys incorporating the arts and other forms of creativity as an option to potentially better assist individuals in the therapeutic process. As a Christian, Samantha believes that faith helps create reassurance and stability even in challenging times.
